TRINIDAD — Trinidad’s Coal Miner’s Museum held a Fun 50’s Fundraiser at its downtown location, on Saturday September 8. Located at the corner of West Main and Convent streets next to the Coal Miner’s monument, the museum was started two years ago by a group spearheaded by Mike and Yolanda Romero. A stunning display of original oil paintings by Colorado artist Lindsay Hand, depicting the Ludlow massacre and political scenes from that event, graces the walls of the museum. Other coal mining artifacts are on display, including a replica of a mining tunnel with a coal car in the basement. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 1-4 pm. Call for a scheduled showing, Yolanda at 719-680-5872 or Mike at 719-680-4552. Their email address is email@example.com.
