TLAC Chamber hosts ribbon cutting

TRINIDAD — Ike’s Music, 103 W. Main Street in Trinidad, was honored with a Trinidad & Las Animas County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on July 25. Originally hailing from San Francisco, owner Dwight “Ike’ Roberts is a new member of the Chamber.

Ike’s is a unique music store with an eclectic collection of new, vintage, and used equipment, that also has one-of-a-kind, handmade instruments, and items you won’t see anywhere else. Besides that, it’s the only music store in the Raton Basin serving all of Las Animas, Huerfano and Colfax counties. Dwight has musical supplies and replacement parts on hand, offers lessons on site, features a recording room, and does instrument repairs. A musician himself, he is also a supporter and promoter of local music, having grown two bands in the area already, xxxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxx.

Even if you aren’t in the mood to buy a musical instrument or need your music equipment repaired, stop in and check out Ike’s great collection of vintage vinyl and CD’s. A friendly guy, Dwight’s happy to share his great knowledge of music.

Check out Ike’s ‘open mic’ night every Friday at 6:30 pm in the Las Animas Grill, 341 N. Commercial Street. For more information call 719-680-3817 or email ikesmusictrinidad@gmail.com.
