AGUILAR — This year the two day Chelsea Sperandio Memorial Coed Softball Tournament raised over $1500 to help put a couple of deserving students through college, and will also help buy new instruments for the Aguilar band and uniforms for the high school. This was the sixth successful year of the tourney. Adam Sperandio, organizer of the tournament, wishes to thank sponsors who wrote checks for the five men’s and five coed teams to enter. Jerad Lessar helped with the use of the field. Torijean Saffold helped get the t-shirts. JJ Rivera donated the porta potties. Desi Rae Marie Aguirre and Ruby Duran did concessions. Keith Medina umped and Jaqueline Smith basically ran the show and did the books, the real MVP.
