Protecting Cimarron’s watershed

Protecting Cimarron’s watershed

2018 Philmont Scout Ranch staffers work for the good of others

Philmont is committed to helping protect the drinking water for the Village of Cimarron. This pipe carries water from the reservoir to the treatment plant. Monsoon rains wash the sediment from the burn scar down and clog the intake. Members of the Philmont Recovery Corps dig it out weekly to keep the water flowing.
